Woman Turns Eyelash-Pulling Struggle Into £Millions Beauty Brand

Daisy Kelly transformed her battle with compulsive hair pulling into Glow For It, a lash serum business that has sold 250,000 bottles.

For years, Daisy Kelly coped with anxiety through compulsive hair pulling, often plucking out her eyelashes to “make wishes.”

The habit left her with damaged lashes, low confidence, and frustration.

But what began as a struggle soon sparked a thriving business. While searching for affordable, safe products to regrow her lashes, Daisy decided to create her own serum.

The result was Glow For It — a beauty brand that has now sold over 250,000 bottles, largely thanks to TikTok.

“I’d think things like: ‘Just make a wish with your lashes and you’ll pass that exam,’” Daisy told Hype Daily.

“It would get worse the more stressed I was. When I noticed a dramatic change in my natural lash appearance, I knew I had to grow them back.

But most serums were either too expensive, hormone-based, or ineffective.”

So Daisy took matters into her own hands. Using part of her student loan and a £2,000 boost from her mum, she launched Glow For It from her mother’s kitchen.

At first, she packaged just a few daily orders, even staging videos to make her TikTok displays look busier. Soon, demand skyrocketed.

Today, Glow For It employs seven people and provides Daisy, 25, with a full-time career.

“My accountants call it a hobby that got out of control — and they’re right,” she said. “I never had a five-year business plan. It just grew beautifully and organically.”

From managing every aspect herself to building a team, Daisy’s journey is proof that even personal struggles can spark powerful new ventures.

What began as a compulsion has turned into a business empowering others to embrace natural beauty.
