Sixteen-year-old Ahmet Karakaya stunned classmates with a £5,200 James Bond-style arrival.
A teenager turned heads at his high school prom after landing in a helicopter – an entrance straight out of a James Bond movie.
Sixteen-year-old Ahmet Karakaya from Hastings spent £5,200 to hire the aircraft, descending from the skies with his date as stunned classmates and teachers looked on.

“Everyone was super shocked and super excited to see me and my date,” Ahmet told Hype Daily.
“All the teachers had nothing to say; they were mesmerised. There were also some jealous people who wanted all the attention for themselves. But it was an experience that made me feel like James Bond!”

Ahmet funded the stunt through his thriving business reselling clothes on Vinted, which he began at 13. “I was hoping to make £100, but I ended up making £5,000.
That moment changed everything for me,” he explained. Since then, he’s scaled his work into digital guides and supplier access, helping others start their own side hustles.
Balancing studies with business hasn’t been easy, but Ahmet says discipline keeps him focused. “I go to school every day. Even though I don’t want to go into anything academic long-term, I respect that I have access to free education,” he said.
“My weekends are a good balance – I work in the mornings and spend time with friends or my girlfriend in the evenings.”
Now with an estimated £500,000 earned, Ahmet says he’s on track to become one of the youngest self-made millionaires. His ultimate goal? To buy his mum a villa in Turkey with a big farm.
“I failed over 40 business attempts before I found success,” he admitted. “Everything I’ve achieved is self-made. I come from a working-class background and didn’t have the opportunities people assume I had. But I stayed disciplined, and that pressure has made me stronger.”
For Ahmet, the helicopter wasn’t just about spectacle – it was a statement. “Seeing my school from above made me realise how far I’ve come. It was truly an aura-full experience.”
