Thrifter Sara Bartlett reveals the Google Lens trick that helped her turn £4 finds into £2,300 resales, building a six figure side hustle from second hand gems.

She Turned Thrifting Into Six Figures – Here’s the Trick That Changed Everything

Sara Bartlett’s simple hack has taken her from costume sewing to six-figure reselling success – and it’s one anyone can try.

When Sara Bartlett first started raiding thrift shops, it was just for fabric.

Running her school’s theatre department meant she had to whip up 80 costumes at a time, and cheap garments from second-hand stores were the quickest fix.

But what started as a money-saving trick turned into a full-time hustle.

The 25-year-old from Florida began listing leftover pieces online and is now a professional reseller who’s made six figures flipping pre-loved finds.

Her secret weapon? Google Lens.

Sara told Hype Daily she used to buy items just because they looked “cool” or “old” – but it was a gamble. Now she reverse image searches everything before buying, instantly checking resale value and spotting hidden gems.

“Know how to identify high-end items without relying on a label,” she said.

“Usually these will look and feel expensive. I gravitate toward quality, signatures, or anything that just seems… better. Then I confirm it with a reverse search.”

That one tweak has paid off. Sara once scored a Piaget bracelet for just $6 (£4) and later flipped it on eBay for over $3,000 (£2,300).

She says the best finds aren’t always obvious: “Look everywhere – the bottom shelves, the kids’ racks, the corners. You never know where a gem is hiding.”

Sara now runs her own store, Canyon Couture, and is planning to rework thrifted clothes into brand-new pieces.

Her TikTok tips have already racked up more than 237,000 views, with fellow resellers calling her advice “genius” and “life-saving.”

From casual thrifter to six-figure side hustler, Sara’s story proves one thing: it pays to double-check.
