Psychic Mum Says Ghosts Join Her Kids on Family Days Out

Chloe Smith claims spirits tag along to the pool, the park – and even spoil surprises.

Family trips to the park and swimming pool usually mean ice creams, sticky fingers and the odd tantrum.

But for Chloe Smith, they also come with something spookier – ghosts.

The 28-year-old psychic medium from Staffordshire says spirits regularly join her and her three children – George, nine, Charlie, seven, and six-year-old Ivy – on school holiday outings.

“In terms of school holidays, spirits just linger and can join in when we bake, craft or go for walks,” Chloe explained. “When we go swimming, I’ll say excuse me, no thank you. They try to pop in and join in.”

According to Chloe, younger spirits are the most eager, though older ones sometimes bring children along too.

“I could have my nan come forward, and then she could bring a little girl and be like ‘come and play’ in the spiritual world,” she said.

Her children have also shown signs of unusual abilities.

“George will often see spirits, whereas Charlie and Ivy don’t see anything,” Chloe said. “However, Ivy is really psychic; she scares the hell out of me sometimes.”

She recalled how a surprise trip to Alton Towers was nearly ruined when Ivy piped up from the back seat: “Are we at Alton Towers yet?”

Despite the spooky backdrop, Chloe says her children don’t question her work.

“They’re in tune with everything, so they know there is stuff there, even though we haven’t had the chat,” she explained.

To protect her little ones, Chloe uses what she calls “protective bubbles” – a visualisation technique she says shields against unwanted energy.

“All you’ve got to do is close your eyes and visualise yourself in this huge bubble that no one can enter,” she said. “I do this around my children, and it works.”

For Chloe, the presence of spirits has always been normal. “As a child, I didn’t realise the things I was seeing were spirits. I thought everybody else could see them too,” she said. “But it is just welcoming – it is love and light.”
