Fans step into a live whodunnit with dinner, puzzles and drama inside Gaucho’s gold vaults.
A new immersive dining event inspired by Netflix’s Knives Out film series has launched in London – offering fans the chance to eat, drink and solve a murder.
The experience, called The Perfect Bite, officially opens to the public today (5 June) following a star-studded preview.

Created by design studio Secret City, it takes inspiration from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and blends theatrical storytelling with a four-course meal.

Set inside Gaucho’s steak restaurant in the gold vaults of the old Bank of England, the residency transforms guests into detectives for the evening.
Characters from the so-called “Salty Six” welcome diners and drip-feed secrets, while codes and puzzles appear between courses.
At the launch, fans tucked into mushroom “cigars,” chorizo and sirloin steak while piecing together clues.
“From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was totally immersed,” said 23-year-old attendee Kieran Thorley, who travelled over 200 miles from Manchester for the event.
“The attention to detail was insanely good – I almost forgot I was in London and not on a film set!”

As the drama unfolded, suspicions shifted between characters before one final reveal just before dessert.
Guests were encouraged to grill the suspects directly, adding to the intrigue.
Tickets start at £125 and are available online, with performances running Wednesday to Friday at 7pm, and Saturdays at 1pm and 6pm.
But like any good mystery, places are limited – so book before the next “murder” takes place.
