From Sackings to Supercars: Meet the 25-Year-Old Selling Lamborghinis to Celebs

Ryan Mcateer turned being repeatedly sacked into a six-figure empire – now running a luxury car business serving reality stars, TV names and the super-rich.

At just 25, Ryan Mcateer has built a business most car dealers could only dream of – shifting luxury motors to a star-studded client list and pulling in over £100,000 a month.

But his route to success wasn’t exactly smooth.

“I had sold cars since I was 19, but kept getting sacked as I would not come in, or I’d be late – I just really wasn’t dedicated,” Ryan, from Liverpool, told Hype Daily.

That changed when he landed a role at a prestige car dealership at 22. Unlike traditional garages that stock cars for months on costly loans, Ryan came up with a sharper model: find the customer first, then source the exact car they want.

“I was always the top performer wherever I worked because I knew if you give the customer exactly what they want, how could they say no?” he said.

In 2021, Ryan took the plunge and launched his own company, Rockstar Car Finance. The twist? He didn’t even have a driving licence at the time.

“I literally didn’t have a penny – just a phone full of customers and an idea,” he said.

After days of knocking on doors, a Manchester dealership agreed to let him work from their premises. Within weeks, Ryan had sold through his client list and scraped together enough to open his own office in Liverpool.

Three years later, Rockstar Car Finance has grown into two offices and a serious luxury player, with Ryan sourcing cars like £200,000 Lamborghinis and Porsche Macans for reality TV stars and influencers.

The business really took off after good reviews attracted celebrity buyers. Ryan has since sold cars to Real Housewives of Cheshire star Rachel Lugo, Celebs Go Dating’s Nadia Essex, and Love Island’s Hannah Elizabeth, alongside a string of TOWIE favourites including Clelia, Chloe Ross and Chloe Brockett.

“I soon started to get enquiries from celebrities and I knew this would be brilliant for the business,” Ryan said. “They know I do the best deals, the best service, and the best cars.”

One client even requested a Porsche wrapped in pink chrome – a demand Ryan was only too happy to deliver.

From struggling to keep a job to becoming one of the most in-demand luxury car brokers in the country, Ryan’s rise has been nothing short of turbocharged.
