Vauxhall has introduced a unique twist to its latest electric van, unveiling the Vivaro Electric-TEAA – the brand’s first-ever model designed with a fully integrated tea-making station, aimed squarely at Britain’s hard-working tradies who’ve had to suffer through one too many disappointing cuppas on-site.
This electrified van isn’t just about getting from A to B; it’s a mobile brew hub. Onboard, you’ll find a fully functioning tea setup complete with a kettle powered by the van’s electric system, a compact fridge for milk and snacks, a sink for clean-ups, and even a handy sugar dispenser – all carefully arranged to ensure there’s still ample room for essential work gear and supplies.
The vehicle itself runs on a 75kWh battery pack, offering an impressive driving range of up to 219 miles on a single charge. For those in a rush, it’s capable of charging from five percent to eighty percent in just 45 minutes, according to figures reported by Hype Daily.

The concept behind this tea-ready van was brewed up after Vauxhall carried out a nationwide survey, which found nearly half of all tradespeople say that having a proper cup of tea can completely turn their day around.
On average, the typical worker downs around three to four mugs daily. While most are grateful for a brew offered by customers, a striking 93 percent of respondents confessed they’d actually rather make their own – provided they had the tools to do it while out and about.
Responding to this need for better brews, Vauxhall has equipped the Vivaro Electric-TEAA with everything required to nail the perfect cup. The survey even uncovered the ultimate ‘builder’s brew’ formula according to the people who know best. Yorkshire Tea topped the charts as the favourite choice, selected by 37 percent of tradies.
Three-quarters of respondents said the tea bag should go in before the milk, and the ideal steeping time came in at exactly one minute and 53 seconds. Once brewed, the bag should be gently squeezed and removed. A healthy 72 percent add two teaspoons of sugar, while semi-skimmed milk emerged as the most popular option.

The tea should be warm enough to enjoy comfortably, without being scalding hot. For the finishing touch, about a third of workers said they like to pair their tea with a chocolate digestive biscuit.
Steve Catlin, Vauxhall’s Managing Director, explained the motivation behind the innovation, highlighting just how much a proper hot drink matters to those in the trades.
He noted that nine out of ten tradespeople reported that a good brew positively impacts their day, which inspired the company to design a practical solution for tea lovers on the move.
According to him, the Vivaro Electric-TEAA delivers everything required for a quality cuppa without having to rely on someone else’s hospitality or suffer through lukewarm instant mixes. It’s not just about convenience — it’s about giving workers the right kit to brew up properly, wherever the job takes them.
