Women’s Business Network Marks a ‘Remarkable’ First Year

A Somerset-based network created to empower local women entrepreneurs is celebrating a highly successful first year.

Wellington Women in Business (WWB) was founded in 2023 by a group of female business owners who recognized shared challenges and wanted to support others on similar journeys.

Despite running their own ventures, the founders quickly realized the strength that comes from collaboration and mutual encouragement.

One of the co-founders, Marion Vincent, who operates Growing Minds, an outdoor learning program for children in Wellington, spoke about the importance of unity among business owners.

“I wouldn’t call myself a natural businesswoman, but I’ve really enjoyed learning how to market myself, connect with my audience, and build confidence,” she said.

Another founder, Zoe Old, who owns Pamper You by Zoe, a beauty clinic in Wellington, reflected on the group’s first-year achievements.

“We’ve been absolutely amazed by how well things have gone.

It’s been incredible to meet so many inspiring women in our community. There’s so much talent here in Wellington, and the sense of camaraderie has been amazing.

We saw a real need for connection, and we’re proud to have created a space where women can grow their businesses together.”
