From the front they look office-ready, but the back reveals a face cut-out design.
Shoppers have been left baffled – and amused – by a pair of £129 trousers featuring a cut-out face on the bum, marketed as offering “fart ventilation.”
At first glance, the grey trousers from Fashion Brand Company look like smart workwear, with a high waist and a subtle flare at the legs.

But turn around, and things get quirky: a cut-out on the left cheek forms two eyes, a nose and lips.
According to the retailer, the unusual design isn’t just for show. “It’s a warm pant, good for the cooler seasons,” the product description reads.
“And of course a face cut-out on the butt cheek for fart ventilation.”

Available in sizes XS to 4X and in both light and dark grey, the trousers are described as “very smoothing and flattering.”
The bizarre item has since gone viral, sparking plenty of jokes online. “Business on the front, fun on the back,” Jaisal quipped.
“At first I thought it was just dress pants – no, it has a whole face,” said Piper.

Others compared them to corporate casual wear with a twist.
“It’s giving work-life balance,” Abby wrote, while Gaston dubbed them “Casual Fridays.”
Another shopper summed it up: “No, I was not ready for the B-Side.”
